HORSE RIDING LESSONS

Emma has started taking horse riding lessons. Today was our second trip out to the barn. She really enjoys this, and is doing very well. Miss Gina is super with Emma, and is teaching her not only how to ride, but how to take care of the horses as well. Today she rode Cookie, the pony. The first time, she rode Pepper which is a full sized horse. Emma really wants to ride the Clydesdale that is pictured here, but I think it will be a long time before we are ready for that!

SHE WANTS BLUE JEANS!!!

Emma has NEVER wanted to wear blue jeans! As a matter of fact, I just passed down about 4 pair to McKinley because Emma would not even try them on. But in the past couple of weeks, blue jeans are all she has talked about wearing! We went yesterday and finally got her some blue jeans. She was soooooooo excited!
She insisted on changing into them just as soon as we bought them and then from that point on, she had to tell everyone that she saw that she had gotten new blue jeans! Kids are so funny!!!

SURPRISE VISITOR

This morning while Emma was taking a bath, she had a visitor to join her!!! I had walked out of the bathroom for a minute when I heard Emma screaming and laughing. I hurried back in there, and this is what I found!!!! Lucy is now big enough to jump in the tub!!!! Lucy loved the water (until I started washing her) and Emma thought it was the coolest thing in the world! I quickly bathed Emma because the thought of her bathing with the dog is just gross to me! It was quite comical while is lasted!!!

CHARLOTTE'S WEB

Emma got the movie Charlotte's Web from the Easter bunny! The movie had a little beany baby Wilbur in it. Emma has carried Wilbur around constantly. She at first wanted to feed him real milk, but she gave in when I found this play bottle of milk.

FUN EVENING WITH THE SPANN FAMILY

We had a great visit with the Spann Family while we were home for the Easter weekend!

We miss them dearly!

EASTER EGG HUNT #2

Nanna always has a family gathering at her house on Easter Sunday afternoon. This is for Jason's immediate and extended family! We of course hid a ton of eggs for the kids! Pop and Nanna have a huge yard so the Easter egg hunt was lot's of fun!!
Emma loved getting to play with Carson and the other kids in the family!!

HAPPY EASTER

It was a joy for us to be able to worship at our home church on Easter Sunday morning!!

Emma was such a big girl and sat out in big church with us through the entire service! We were so proud of her!!

EASTER AT MIMI'S HOUSE

We celebrated Easter with my family on Saturday afternoon!!

We enjoyed visiting with everyone and Mimi cooked a fabulous dinner!!

EASTER EGG HUNT #1

We hid Easter eggs several times for Hunter and Emma!! Emma would help us hide them for Hunter and then she would tell him where to look for them! We got so tickled at her!
Emma had to show Uncle Jason all of the eggs she had found!
Emma was cold and exhausted after playing out in the yard and hunting Easter eggs at Mimi's house. She was ready to snuggle up with daddy and rest for a while!

EGG HUNTING PRACTICE

While the dye on the eggs dried, Aunt Tanya hid some plastic ones so that Emma could practice hunting eggs! It didn't take her long to figure out how this all worked!!

COLORING EASTER EGGS

Emma enjoyed coloring Easter eggs this year! She wasn't extremely patient while the eggs were in the dye, but they were her eggs and we let her take them out whenever she was ready! She was able to color eggs at Mimi's house with Tanya and Hunter, and then we colored them again at Nanna's house!

PLAYTIME WITH THE GLASSCO GIRLS

On our trip to Alabama for Easter, we were able to spend time with the Glassco family. These girls have missed each other dearly!! They played for several hours on Thursday afternoon and had the best time together!!! Of all the toys that they could have played with, these are the things that occupied most of their time!!

SPRING BREAK FOR EMMA AND SETH

SPRING BREAK 2007

My Aunt Kathy, Uncle Chuck and Cousin Seth drove all the over here from West Tennessee during Seth's Spring Break, which just so happened to be Emma's Spring Break also. I think this was about a 9 hour trip for them.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR COMING TO VISIT US!! WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

Emma and Seth had a blast playing together!! They don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but when they are together, they have soooo much fun!!

This Power Wheel's Escalade belongs to our neighbors children, but they don't live with him all the time, so he has been letting Emma ride it! She loves this thing!! Bye-Bye Gator, hello Escalade!

Of course we had to take them to the big playground! The kids had such a great time!

I'm just glad that the weather was pretty while they were here. We actually spent about 3 hours at the swimming pool on Monday!!! Seth is a little fish!!!!!

JASON GOES TO BRISTOL

Jason had the opportunity to go to the NASCAR Race in Bristol, TN. last weekend. According to him, this was the "ULTIMATE RACING EXPERIENCE". He had such a great time! They were able to watch a taping of the Speed Channel's Raceday TV program, plus get to see some of the drivers up close!!!

SWIMMING IN MARCH

I cannot believe this weather!!! It has been close to 90 degrees this week!!! We have been to the swimming pool 2 times already and it's just the 1st of April!!!

The water at the pool is a little chilly, but not too bad once you sit out in the heat of the day!

We may just have to stick the apartment out through the summer!! This pool is hard to beat!!
Emma and the other kids don't seem to think the water is cold at all! They have been enjoying playing together at the pool!

SNEAKY LITTLE GIRL

Yes, these are Emma's hands!!! She does little sneaky things when you take your eyes off of her. This is her attempt to paint her fingernails with dry erase markers!!!

You gotta love her!!!!

LOVING THE GATOR

Emma has loved her Gator from the minute that she got it. It has been sitting on the balcony all winter. We took it downstairs this week though, and you would have thought it was a brand new toy! She is having a GREAT TIME riding it on the sidewalks. It goes SOOOOO much faster, it seems like!!
This is Emma's friend, Elliot. They live down below us. He and his brother Ethan are good playmates for Emma. Unfortunately, they are moving out at the end of this month. They also have a gator, but it is in storage, so they have enjoyed riding with Emma on hers.

WALKING SHOES

Since the time has changed, Jason now gets home before it gets dark. We have been taking family walks together in the evenings. We usually walk a little, jog a little, and then of course we end up holding Emma and Lucy a little. Emma actually does really well considering the distance that we walk.

When its time to walk, we ask Emma to go and get ready! She definitely doesn't go for comfort. For some reason, she always wants to wear these black boots! We get so tickled at her sense of style!

LOOK AT LUCY

Lucy is has now been with our family 4 months! She sure has grown since we brought her home weighing a little over 2 pounds! She is almost 9 pounds now!!

She has a tendency to want to chew on EVERYTHING, but other than that, she is great!

She loves being outside in the warm weather!

MARCH 11, 80 DEGREES!!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WEATHER!!! We topped out at 80 degrees today!

We played outside from noon until dark!! It was great! Emma is exhausted though.

Emma brought her baby and her dog outside today to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Her dog needed to go potty along with Lucy!!
We took a break from running and riding bikes, and the hot sun, and we played in the shade for a while. This little sand box on our balcony has been wonderful, even through the winter!

READY FOR A HOUSE

We are so ready to get into a house! Jason got out today and cleaned his car up in the parking lot. He is definitely needing a garage and a yard for piddling! Being couped up in the apartment was ok for winter, but now with spring rolling around,

we need our own space!!!

Today was Emma's Trike-a-thon at school to raise money for St. Judes Children's Research Hospital!! The kids had such a wonderful time riding their bikes together!! The teachers had set up a cute little track for them to ride on. Their were many parents there to cheer the children on!!! We had a GREAT afternoon!
