TRICK OR TREAT
Here is our little power ranger in action. Trick or treating was easy this year. We went over to the local mall, did a sweep of the top and bottom floors, and then we came home. Emma wasn't real sure about all of this at first, but towards the end she had it figured out! Plus, she got to visit Claire's and get some new lipstick! That, of course, was the event of the evening!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Pre-trick or treating excitement! I don't think she really knows what is about to happen! She is only interested in finding more power rangers! Forget about the candy.
FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS, WE HOPE YOU HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN! DON'T EAT TOO MUCH CANDY! WE MISS YOU ALL AND LOVE YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANNA!!!

EMMA'S 1ST DAY OF PRESCHOOL
Emma started to preschool this week at a local church. She will go 2 days a week for 3 hours each afternoon. She is very excited about going to school! She never once cried or looked back when I left her. I actually had a productive 3 hours too! I think this is going to be good for both of us.Emma had a great 1st day of school. She was a little clingy once she got home, but I know that will get better in time. She looks so cute with her back pack! Our baby is growing up way to fast!!
OUR TRIP TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH
On Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day to be outside!!Unfortunately, the camera battery died before we made it to pick out our pumpkins, but we do have pictures from all of the other activities. They had 2 different slides for the kids to play on , but Emma would only slide down one of them.
The Pumpkin Patch also had a petting zoo, cow train ride, a hay ride, a corn maze, a playground, and some other odd and end things. Emma really enjoyed herself. Jason and I enjoyed spending time out together with her too. The only thing Emma didn't like was having to wait in line for the cow train. I would have to say that it was the most popular event with all of the kids.
Of course Emma loved the swing. I think she would have stayed right there all day, but there were other kids waiting, so we had to take turns. After walking the pumpkin patch from front to back and 1 side to the other, we finally picked out 2 pumpkins to take home with us. One big one for me and daddy (that he had to carry out) and then 1 small one for Emma that she had to carry out. It was such a great day of family fun!!!

PUMPKIN PATCH PETTING ZOO
The Pumpkin Patch had a petting zoo with small animals. Emma loved the little pony, but she wanted to ride it, not pet it. They were not having pony rides on the day we went.
Emma's favorite animals to pet were the goats. They were very friendly. They would love all over you if you let them. We also saw chickens, bunny rabbits, and pot belly pigs. Emma would not go near the pigs. All she would do is hold her nose and say "shoo-wee, those pigs are nasty, stinky".

PUMPKIN PATCH COW TRAIN
The Pumpkin Patch had a cow train that Emma and I rode. It was a tight squeeze for mom, but we enjoyed it. It was also quite a bumpy ride.
Pop, look how simple this is. I think you should open the ButterBean Holler Pumpkin Patch when you retire. You have all the right stuff, you would just need to plant some pumpkins and you would be in business.

BRRR IT'S COLD OUT HERE
FUN IN THE TUB
All of the kids love Mimi's new jacuzzi tub that she has in her bathroom. Emma, Seth, and Hunter took time out from all of last week's stresses to relax and play in the "cuzzi" as they all call it. Don't worry everyone, they are all clothed!!! They had such a great time. We almost had to get a shop vac to get all of the water cleaned up out of the room!!!(Only Kidding)

FUN WITH CARSON
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMA
Another Pair of Shoes
We have been looking for Emma a Pink Power Ranger Costume for Halloween. Party City carries the costume, but not in her size, so she settled for a new pair of dress up shoes instead. Here she is showing off her new shoes to Papa Terry. We finally had to order the costume off of the internet, and we hope it gets here in time to trick or treat.

TIME FOR A TEA PARTY
Emma has really started liking her Disney Princess tea party set that she got for her birthday, especially since I let her start using real tea. We usually have her friends from Narnia over for tea, but today Sassy decided to join us.
I am having a blast being at home with Emma during the day. We never run out of things to do. She keeps very busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!

MOMMY'S LITTLE HELPER
I have become quite the cook since we have been over here. I enjoy cooking, plus I actually have time now to do it. Emma enjoys helping in the kitchen. Here she is mixing the ingredients together for a chicken casserole. I have cooked every weeknight since we have been in the apartment. Jason is liking this except for he says his pants are getting a little too tight.
SASSY
Sassy seems to be enjoying life at the apartment. She has picked out her favorite spot to rest, or to hide and get away from Emma.
She has turned out to be a really pretty cat. She is still a little wild, but is starting to let us pet her and love her a whole lot more. She loves for us to play fetch with her. Jason said the other morning when he left for work, she had her toy laid on Emma's chest and was sitting there looking at her like are you going to throw it or not. Of course, Emma was sacked out and knew nothing of this.
EMMA'S NEW "MUMMY"
We have been watching HauntoberFest on the Disney Channel this past week. There was a movie on there about a mummy. Emma was fascinated with the whole idea of a person being "wrapped in toilet paper".
We tried to make her a mummy, but she decided she would rather turn Daddy into one. She laughed so hard while we were wrapping him, but she was a little leary once he turned into a "mummy".
How about Jason's new look?
The things we do to make our kids laugh. Isn't he such a good sport?

EMMA'S SAND PILE
During our move, Mimi and Papa Terry fixed Emma a sand pile out of a rubbermaid lid so she could have a sand box at their house. She thought this was the grandest thing ever. Of course, we had to have one at the apartment. She will play in this for hours on end. We had to put a tarp underneath it to keep our downstairs neighbors from getting a sand shower daily.
Mimi and Papa Visit Athens
Mimi, Papa and Chester were our first visitors to Athens. They helped us put some finishing touches on the apartment, and we showed them around town.
We had to show Mimi and Papa the Athens Community Playground. This playground is unbelievable. Emma loves it. She would go every day if we could. Fortunately, we have a small playground at our apartment that we can play on daily.

EMMA'S NEW LOOK
Emma's new favorite movie is The Chronicles of Narnia. She loves the little girl named Lucy.
Emma wants to think right now that she is Lucy from Narnia. She let Mimi cut her hair to look like Lucy and she actually asks to wear skirts. I think this may be the turning point from black pants and candy cane pants.
